The oil paintings I create are guided by my imagination and instinctive responses to the medium. Trained as a sculptor, ceramist and painter, I use palette knives to apply textured, bold strokes of pigment across the canvas. My abstract compositions reflect an abiding love of nature, and are my personal interpretations of various aspects of the natural world that inspire me: avian and piscine; aquatic and botanical; atmospheric and celestial. The vibrant colors to which I am drawn evoke both optimism, and solace.
